So in the old testament, Adam and Eve were the begining of the human race, Moses led the Iraelites out of Egypt, David killed Goliath, Noah protected living beings from the flood, Samson’s used his amazing strength to pull down the Phillistine temple and destroy himself as well as his enemies and Joshua was strong and very courageous ,meditated on the word of God and led his people to conquer Conaan. All
of these poweful men were amazing. We also have Esther who took great risk to protect and empower her people. Also, Ruth whose great faith led her into an awesome marriage to an awwesome man. We have Deborah who was a prophet and a Judge in the Old Testament. Deborah led her people in a victory over the Canaanite people the Iraelite’s oppressors. All these Godly annoited men and women filled with the Holy Spirit were amazing yet could not save the world but my man Jesus could and did.
Think about it. The great I am that I am, Jesus and the Holy Spirit checked the human race to see who was worthy to save the world. None were found so Jesus said he would lay down his divinity and do it himself. Praise God!
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: ”
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
So we (the human race) were promised a savior, a messiah that would come to the earth and be Immanuel; God with us. He ( the Christ) would gather the wheat ( believer) and put them in His barn. But the chaff he would burn with an unquenchable fire. JESUS was this Messiah, this Emmanuel. Now isnt that good news? That’s the promise along with many others. Jesus is our answer to everything. Therefore now when we celebrate Christmas, the birth of a baby, Gods only begotten son, was the answer to all humanity and all creation. Just as Jesus birth caused us to be born again and have life more abundantly, so we should be joyous and celebrate the blessing and the anointing. We should all witness the Lord Jesus Christ work in our life. We should celebrate His overcoming the world and the sins of the world for us. We should celebrate His life and His finished work. We should celebrate the JOY he brought into the world. We should be merry and grateful and bless one another as Jesus blessed us. Bless you Lord Jesus, Bless you Father God, bless you Holy Spirit.
